So, you have a Facebook Fanpage, but have no idea what to do with it?
First, add a cover photo. You can read about why you should have a cover photo here. Then create a cover photo. Once you’ve created a cover you can follow the instructions below.
Adding a cover photo is actually very simple. Here’s what you need to do:
Go to your fanpage and scroll down a little past the statistics area. You’ll see a gray rectangular box.
Click on “add a cover”
You might receive this box, if you do, read the info then click “close”
After this, you should see a drop down menu with two options: Choose From Photo or Upload Photo. Click Upload Photo… if you need to upload one from your computer
A screen to select your photo will come up. Select the photo you want to use from your computer. Then you’ll be brought back to your fanpage while it’s uploading. It will look grayed out. Once it’s done uploading it will give you the option to reposition the photo. If your photo is the exact dimensions of 851px x 315px, then it won’t need to be repositioned. If your image is larger then you move your mouse over the image and a “hand” will show up. Click and drag the image to your liking. Then click “save changes”.
And that’s it. You’re done. If you don’t like it, want to change or remove it, just move your mouse/cursor over the cover photo and a “change photo” option will show up.
Click it and you’ll see the options: Choose from photos, upload, reposition and remove.
Choose what you’d like to do and go through the steps again until you’re satisfied with your cover photo.
